11-member group of health care and tourism workers in Egypt, are suspected for the purchase of children with intent to them that the acquisition, which is prohibited by the laws of Egypt, said today security sources.
They paid for girls around 3,600 dollars (20,000 Egyptian £), and boys about 900 dollars more (25,000 Egyptian £).
According to the unnamed security sources, one of the two defendants Americans originally from Egypt.
Unnamed U.S. Embassy official said that the means for this investigation carried out by Egyptian authorities, and stressed that the embassy in fully cooperating.
The embassy has not confirmed that it is one of American citizens arrested or charged, said Reuters.
